Welcome back to a new and exciting year with ryEng! This post contains all sorts of useful info to help you get started in the new year!

+The Golden Ram has a new website! The frosh edition is available to pick up outside the office (KHE 123) and the online version has been uploaded.

+The RESS office is kinda open this week. There are no set hours right now, but it’s been open quite consitantly. Come by and say hello and grab a ryEng sticker for your One Card.

+Our ryEng facebook group is getting pretty popular. Why don’t you join?

+Frosh week was an amazing success. There are pictures in the facebook group. You can’t post or join the group anymore, but you sure as heck can view the pictures!

ESSCO AGM Delegate Report

The ESSCO AGM is now ready to read!

Over the weekend of May 27th-29th three delegates from the Ryerson Engineering Student Society travelled to UOIT to meet with representatives from other engineering student societies. This report contains an overview of what they learned.

Why should you bother to read it? First and foremost, the sharing of such reports helps keep delegates accountable and shows that RESS is actually gaining a tangible benefit from sending people off to these events. It’s also a great way share in the knowledge they gained. It’s almost like you were there!

Do you want to attend these events? Keep an eye on this website and come around the RESS office during the school year. Most conferences are open to all students, you just need to apply!

Boy howdy, wouldn’t you love to receive up to date information and important announcements as text messages? Here is how you can add @ryersonengineer to your phone!

	Step 1: Search for Ryersonengineer under the People category. Click Follow.
	Step 2:Open your Profile. Click on Set up mobile notifications
	Step 3: Follow on screen instructions.
	Step 4: Follow on screen instructions. (Use the info they provide to you, not what you see here)
	You should receive a message like this to confirm that you have activated the service.
	Step 5: Change your settings to match those on the left, and click save.
	Step 6: Go back to the ryersonengineer profile and turn on mobile notifications. There! You’re all set!
