Howard Brown,Government Relations Consultant for Professional Engineers Ontario will be visiting Ryerson on Thursday March 22nd at 1-3 p.m in LIB 72.
He will be delivering a talk entitled: “Difference – How Engineering students can influence and improve public policy“. The talk will be about an hour, followed by a half hour question and answer period. Refreshments will be served after wards.
Everyone who has seen him speak at various events has spoken very highly of his ability to motivate and inspire students. You should go!

RESS is hosting its annual National Engineering Month Pub Night, and this year we’re going hard, greek style.
Come join us for an all-ages, free and fabulous night of shenanigans. Togas are not required, but I’m sure you’ll feel mighty silly without one.

Please join us for a join event with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO). The event will feature panelists from various fields who will be taking questions from students. It is a great opportunity to network and meet working engineers.
Food will be provided. All engineering students are strongly encouraged to attend. |

It’s almost time for the RESS annual general meeting, where amendments to the Bylaws and Constitution are made.
If you would like to submit an amendment, please use this form. Submit it to vpadmin@ress.ca by 11:59 pm on Wednesday, March 14th for inclusion in the meeting. You can find the current By-laws and Constitution in the documents section.
Look forward to an announcement of a date and time for the AGM. It’s an important way to have your say in how RESS is run and give feedback on the year, so all are encouraged to attend.
You read that right. UoIT is hosting RESS and York Engineering in their very own nooner. You can find some information here. They also have a facebook event!
The RESS Semi Formal has been announced!
Tickets are $65 until the 8th, and $75 from the 9th till the 16th
Tickets include venue, transport, four course meal, desserts (triumphant return of the waffle bar!), non-alcoholic drinks and the ever popular open bar!
Transport is provided via school bus, because drinking and driving is supremely un-suave. Busses depart Ryerson at 6pm and depart the venue at 10pm, 11pm and 1:15am.
Dress code: Semi Formal

Location: La Primavera, Vaughn, Ontario. There will be busses!
Time: Busses depart from Ryerson at 6:00 pm and will return at 10:00pm, 11:00pm and 1:15pm (tentative)
What’s included: 4 course Italian dinner, including deserts and waffles, as well as an open bar.
Price: $65 before March 6th and $75 after.
