It’s time to apply for appointed positions on RESS! Please fill print out this form and bring it by the RESS office, KHE 123 by 4pm on Monday October 3rd 2011.

Please read the by-laws to find out what each position requires before applying. Come by the office to ask any questions, or email VP Comm.

It’s that time of year again!

Even want to have a bigger say in how your student society is run?  Want to have a more hands on university experience?  Think you can make a difference?  It’s time to get your nomination forms for elected positions for the 2011-2012 school year!  Have you been a director or in an appointed position? Why not run for a VP position? Already been a VP? Why not go for *gasp* prez? Haven’t been involved but want to be? A director position is a great way to get involved and get to know the other students in your discipline.

Once these positions are filled, there will be tons of applied positions to fill, so stay tuned for more ways to get involved.

To apply, print off this form follow all the instructions carefully, and submit by Friday March 4th at 4pm!

The Ryerson Engineering Student Society is holding its Semi-Annual General Meeting to amend our By-Laws.

The SAGM gives you, the engineering student, a chance to shape the way your Engineering Student Society is run. Proposed changes must be made through a written motion, the form for which can be found below. A completed example is also provided to give you some guidance. Please also make yourself familiar with the current By-Laws, Constitution and Robert’s Rules of Order, all of which are available below.

Please come prepared with your class schedule from RAMSS (complete with your name), as only engineering students may cast a vote.

Time: 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Location: Kerr Hall South, Room 239

Now, before you go all hog-wild and submit various ridiculous ideas, you’d better read the following:

A By-Law Proposal or Amendment Proposal will be considered only if the following conditions are met:

1. All required information, as outlined by this form, is provided.
2. It is submitted by 11:59 pm on Thursday, October 21, 2010. Submissions may be made either in person to the RESS office (Kerr Hall East 123), or emailed to vpadmin@ress.ca
3. The proposal is signed by no less than fifteen (15) Ryerson Engineering Student Society members. General members and members of the Board of Directors are all eligible for signage.

Oh my! We are having our Semi Annual General Meeting on October 25th 2010 at 6pm-11pm. It’s being held in KHS 239.

Come participate in the governance of your student society! If you want to make an amendment to the by-laws, come by the RESS office to fill out a form.

The new deadline is Friday October 1st at 4pm, in the RESS office: KHE 123.

It’s a great way to get involved in your student society and meet new people.
