Students received an email this morning about a special general meeting which was called for this coming Tuesday:
This is to inform you that there is a Special General Meeting happening
this Tuesday, April 10th at 4 pm, in KHS134. This meeting is separate from
the Annual General Meeting (which you should also attend!). The only agenda
item for this meeting will be regarding The Impeachment of Jolene Funk as
2012-2013 Vice President External.
Certainly, this has raised some questions. The pertinent information for students to read would be the minutes for the meeting at which this was brought forth, which can be found here. Members (meaning all undergraduate engineering students at Ryerson University) should also read the by-laws and constitution, which can be found in the documents section of the web site.
RESS understands that this may be quite confusing, and encourage all members to attend this meeting to ensure their voices are heard.
Just a friendly reminder that by-law amendments are due on April 2nd in the RESS office by 4:00 pm. You need the form? You find it here.
Yes, it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for: Thesis grant applications are available!
Please print out and submit the application form, which can be found in the documents section.
The deadline to submit applications is Friday, April 13, and can be dropped off in KHE 123.

Look forward to an announcement of a date and time for the AGM. It’s an important way to have your say in how RESS is run and give feedback on the year, so all are encouraged to attend.
It’s Election time!
The voting for all VP and Director positions will be held on March 8th and 9th from 9am-4pm in the RESS office, KHE 123. You must have your One Card to vote. The location is TBD, but if you come by the RESS office that day, the location will be posted on the door.

It’s that time of year again!
Even want to have a bigger say in how your student society is run? Want to have a more hands on university experience? Think you can make a difference? It’s time to get your nomination forms for elected positions for the 2011-2012 school year! Have you been a director or in an appointed position? Why not run for a VP position? Already been a VP? Why not go for *gasp* prez? Haven’t been involved but want to be? A director position is a great way to get involved and get to know the other students in your discipline.
Once these positions are filled, there will be tons of applied positions to fill, so stay tuned for more ways to get involved.
To apply, print off this form follow all the instructions carefully, and submit by Friday March 4th at 4pm!
