INTRODUCTION TO REC:
REC is an opportunity for all engineering students to showcase their talent in design, innovation and teamwork in creating a particular solution to the given real life engineering problem. Thus, teams with most diverse discipline members will have better chance of success than having a team of single discipline engineers. REC not only gives everyone a chance to try their hand at various engineering challenges, but also offers recognition and awards for those who perform above part.
WHO?
REC is open for ALL undergraduate Ryerson Engineering Students (First to Fourth year students).
WHEN?
For REC 2012, the competition will be held on January 13th and 14th.
Sign up for REC 2012 will be open soon. All team sizes and name of teammates are final.
WHAT?
The competition is comprised of 6 different categories:
- Junior Design
- Senior Design
- Consulting Engineering (Business Consulting)
- Innovative Design (Business Innovation)
- Engineering Communications
- Parliamentary Debate
The categories are adopted from both the Ontario Engineering Competition (OEC) and the Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC).
